Customizing fonts is a hallmark of a Hello June brand—our brands are both illustrative and type-based, but nothing beats a good, solid customized typeface.
Here are some of our favorite ways to customize our clients’ type.
1. Strategic gaps/spacing between various letter elements. In this logo for Lindsay Tuttle, we added in some breathing space to make the brand feel more light and spacious.
2. Sharing elements between letters. Canova Aesthetics’ logo is a great example of this – see how the C/A and V/A connect?
3. Illustration integration. Notice the botanical elements “growing” from this monogram for Wildrose Studio?
4. Interlocking letters. At Hello June we love a good interlocking monogram. Studio L and Joli Point are great examples!
5. Customized letter elements. Changing up the endpoint or crossbar of a letter can influence the whole vibe of the brand! See how we did this by adding a fishtail element to Le Point Studio’s primary logo and custom crossbars to the “A”s in Laura Petka’s brand!
