Join me and 8 designers in my 1:1/group hybrid program to bring ease back into the not-so-easy parts of running a design business. The Design Minimind™ combines 1:1 time and attention, a small-group-style community, and a video curriculum. Add in an extensive template library and an (optional) in-person group getaway? I like to call it a win-win-win.

Combining 1:1 mentorship, a small-group environment, and a structured curriculum.

The Structure

This program runs from Jan. 9 - June 29, 2023. Each month has a featured topic that we'll be working through in the modules individually in Teachable and as a group in Circle and our calls. However, the flexibility of a small group like this allows for us to explore custom topics that feel relevant to you and your business. Think loose structure with no topic off-limits.

The designers alongside you will be the most positive, supportive people you might be missing from your solopreneur journey. The intentionally small group allows your voice to be heard and truly lasting connections to be made. The other designers will be in similar seasons of business, but they will also have different stories and lifestyles. Learning from and growing alongside others is so powerful (and more fun, in my opinion!)

Circle is an online community platform that will allows us to get to know one another, follow threads, post questions, and find what you need. It will be the hub of the Minimind! Imagine if Facebook Groups and Slack had a baby - but make it ~aesthetic~ (and SO user-friendly).

A major difference from my 1:1 Mentorship container, the Minimind will feature a pre-recorded curriculum in Teachable that you will work through on your own time each month. Each video will be short and simple, and you'll also be able to listen without looking at the slides in case you're busy with littles ones or something else.

Something I hear from designers all the time is that they miss the 1:1 elements of a coaching container in more group experiences. Having my eyes and ears on your business and your struggles will help you get more out of the program and work through challenges unique to YOU and YOUR business.

We'll have two calls as a group each month. They'll cover an intro or review of that month's curriculum and a hot-seat style Q&A so everyone has an opportunity to work through challenges specific to their business. Think casual & laidback, but also productive calls!

Sometimes you just need a listening ear to challenges specific to you (a tough client, a new discovery call, scoping a project, mapping out your marketing, etc.). You'll have a private voice memo and text channel with me in Voxer where I will pop in 1x/week to answer your questions.

You might feel a little too close to your business to get a good picture of what's working and what isn't. At the beginning of the program, you'll receive short loom videos from me on the items below so you can identify what changes you can make right away to optimize conversion.

Want to steal basically everything in my business? The HJC Resource Library is a Notion database full of all my Figma/Illustrator templates, Notion templates, videos of me designing and presenting to clients, and more. It's always being updated with new content so you have a behind-the-scenes view into the operations of Hello June, in real time.

We've all been craving an in-person meetup, and I'm excited to offer an optional 2-night retreat to a beach airbnb in Florida. More details and add-on price will be TBD, but it will be laidback, connection-based, and a wonderful opportunity to make lasting friendships with other designers. Dates will most likely be mid-way through the program, in late March 2023, a Friday - Sunday.

"I've gained the confidence to charge 3x, 4x, even 5x times more than what I was originally charging. I had the biggest month in my business, finally surpassing the $10k mark with a $12k month.

Jen is your go-to if you want to scale your design studio in a sustainable way. She will help you gain the confidence to increase your prices in a way that feels good to you—she pushed me just enough to be slightly uncomfortable (in a good way!) She also has great advice about hiring, team structuring, and systems."

—Jen Chuah, Jenuine Creative

I LOVE Jen - she has made a massive impact on my life as a business owner and mum. I would 100% recommend her to anyone but especially if you’re a time-poor mum or someone who wants to simplify and do things better and smarter.

I LOVE Jen—she has made a massive impact on my life as a business owner and mum, and I could not be any more grateful to her. I would 100% recommend her to anyone but especially if you’re a time-poor mum or someone who wants to simplify and do things better and smarter."

"Jen is the best investment I’ve ever made in my business!  The changes we made resulted in more inquiries that wanted to work with only me, and more saved time on my part. I've structured my business and offerings so that I can work less and be more profitable!

—Amanda Sem, Sem Design Co.

"Jen is a wealth of knowledge and I could pick her brain forever. I have much more clarity and direction for my business—and in the process, I got to see firsthand the value that I bring to my own clients.

I love how personal Jen's mentorship program is. I love that we were able to focus on the areas of by business that truly needed attention. Also, the templates and resources that she provides are worth the cost of the program alone (and that's just a bonus!)"

—Taylor Anne Moser, Taylor Anne Creative

I so looked forward to our coaching calls - they felt like sitting down for coffee with a good friend who actually understands my business and has walked through the same struggles. The biggest shift has been in how I feel about my business. I'm just more confident in how I run my studio."

I so looked forward to our coaching calls—they felt like sitting down for coffee with a good friend who actually understands my business and has walked through the same struggles. My processes are more streamlined (proposals take me a fraction of the time to put together!), and I have a marketing plan that I can follow now. The biggest shift has been in how I feel about my business. I'm just more confident in how I run my studio.

"Jen is incredibly open and honest about running her own studio, which is invaluable and so rare in the designer world. She's generous with her resources and knowledge and everything is fair game to talk through.

—Kait Richert, Plantspace Studio

I also wanted to pick Jen's brain on everything sales calls, pricing appropriately, and winning the niche I planned to target. We not only dove deep into everything about the entire brand design process, but I also got to have an exclusive look at how Jen runs her business, and that was incredible.

We not only dove deep into everything about the entire brand design process, but I also got to have an exclusive look at how Jen runs her business, and that was incredible. Just having her as a resource during these months made me feel more calm; I loved being able to ask her anything anytime.

"I got tremendous value out of my time with Jen. I found someone who believed in my vision, which reflected back onto myself and how I saw my business. And that's a powerful thing for the long-term.

—Lyndsey Morrow, By Lyndsey Morrow

She’s is the kindest, most understanding, loving soul who helps you see yourself the way she sees you! She was able to see my strengths and guide me down a path that was able to use all of them. There was a literal lightbulb that went off and I felt like I was being set free from handcuffs!

She’s is the kindest, most understanding, loving soul who helps you see yourself the way she sees you! She was able to see my strengths and guide me down a path that was able to use all of them. For so long I tried fitting myself into a box & Jen helped me realize that I'm just not that kind of person—there was a literal lightbulb that went off and I felt like I was being set free from handcuffs!

"I honestly don’t know if I’d have continued on with my business had I not invested in Jen as a coach. She sets you up with everything you need to succeed—all you have to do is show up and make it happen!

—Deanna Kincheloe-Delgado, Kin & Co. Design Studio

"It was the best investment I could have made in my business! It would have taken me many years to get the systems I have in my business by myself. Jen is phenomenal to work with!

Jen helped me identify my struggles and create a plan to help my business grow sustainably. I felt so seen and she understood my struggles. She validated my feelings surrounding my business (and in life and motherhood!) and gave me the tools to continue to grow after working with her."

Month 6

Let it be easy (and fun). Now is your time.

My business mantra?

If it's not fun, it's not getting done. This mindset has helped me craft a conversion-focused marketing plan that I actually implement (and see results from!) and work on fewer projects but pay myself more than I ever have. I've truly focused on raising my *net* revenue AND working fewer hours - the numbers that actually matter. If you're seeking the profitability that will lead to flexibility and time freedom (the reason you started your business in the first place), let's work together.

The Investment

What are freedom and ease worth to you?

Your personal mentor, right in your pocket. A small group of design besties you can lean on. The roadmap to the design business you've been dreaming of, but haven't quite found yet. Supporting your family financially. Spending more time with your kids. Taking more trips. A long weekend, every weekend. What are those things worth to you? If your current life circumstances are keeping you from investing, check out the Scholarship application!

$698/mo for 6 months

Lowest investment the Minimind will ever be!

Apply for the Minimind Scholarship

One of the 8 maximum student spots will be available as a scholarship (50% discount) to an individual whose current life circumstances would financially keep them from being able to fully invest in this program. I'll be reviewing applications and hand selecting the applicant based on their need. Some examples: single parenthood, chronic illness (mental or physical), caregiver for a sick loved one, or something else - all applications and details shared will remain confidential.

Let's pretend we're in Voxer.

Ask away.

That's ok! The retreat is an add-on that's optional for program members—you don't have to come if you don't want to or can't! We'll miss you but you can absolutely still participate in the program without it. Once you sign on and we hammer out details, we'll all decide together where we want to go, what activities we want to do, etc. If you need to cancel last minute, we unfortunately will not be able to provide you a refund due to the booking deposit required.

This is 100% up to you - we'd love to have you! Here are some things to consider: our live calls will take place during AM working hours on Eastern Standard Time. If you feel like this will be a challenge to attend live, you can always catch the replay—but I strongly encourage you to try to attend live if you can due to the interactive nature of those calls. You'll walk away with more value! The other parts of the program (the curriculum videos, Circle community, and 1:1 Voxer support) are purposefully asynchronous for you to consume that content (or chat with me!) whenever you want to.

I'm not sure! I'm not ruling out a second 2023 cohort, but I'm also keeping options open depending on my workload/life circumstances. If you're curious about the program but not sure if it's the right fit, shoot me a DM on Instagram to @hellojunecreative and we can voice memo it out. If I do offer the program again, the price will most likely increase. This is the lowest investment the program will ever be.
