Most of our clients come to us a few years into business when they realize that the high level of service (often luxury services like interior design) they’re providing for their clientele doesn’t align with the (often DIY – that’s ok!) visuals they got started with. This is a natural progression we see often with creative businesses: they realize they may be losing out on higher-ticket clientele because their visuals aren’t telling those clients the right story.
As a creative I know how tempting it is to make consistent updates to your brand, website, messaging, and style. I do believe that there is a time and place for a rebrand, and it might not be as often as you think! Changing up your branding too often might lead to lack of brand recognition, and also create a disconnect from your audience. So when is it a good time to rebrand? Perhaps you’ve decided to pivot in your business and goals, you want to start charging more for your services, you want to reach a new audience, or you want to feel a newfound confidence in your brand. If any of these apply to you, I say go for it!
The most important piece of advice I can give is to find a brand designer that aligns with your style and values. Many designers lean into a specific style (like editorial, bright and colorful, luxurious and neutral, etc.) and it’s important to choose someone that produces work that inspires and connects with you. Don’t be afraid to hop on a discovery call with a designer to chat more about their process, learn more about who they are, and find out if they are the right fit for you.
