
A bit of a vulnerable share this week—but it’s worth it.
Last time, I wrote about how being a mom made me a better business owner (in decision-making, confidence, and ability to prioritize things properly.
This time, let’s turn it around. Being a business owner has 1000% made me a better mom.
My oldest was born about a year into running my business (during the pandemic, while my husband was in the Army), so I’ve never known motherhood outside of entrepreneurship.
Vulnerable moment—I struggled hardcore with new motherhood.
Sound familiar? Even if you had a great postpartum experience, it’s not for the faint of heart, and my whole world felt like it was flipped upside down.
Being a mom felt totally at odds with my business (especially with a baby that took micro naps!)
I thought to myself: “How could these two pieces of my life ever exist in harmony?”
But looking back, I have the clarity that I didn’t at the time.
Being a business owner made me a better mom because:
